Rector Search: We met on Thursday, June 17th, and accomplished the following:
We finished a Parish prayer for our journey in seeking a new Rector. Thanks to Helene for her work on this! Here it is:
“Dear good and gracious God,
You have faithfully guided and provided for Your Church of St. Paul’s and we thank you for Your amazing love. We lean on You now as we work through the process of searching and finding Your selection of our new Rector. Keep our ears and hearts open to Your guiding voice.
In Jesus’ name we pray.”
We are almost finished with the draft Parish Assessment which will be used to survey our Parish – a few more tweaks are needed. The assessment will be used to describe in a Parish Profile our Parish to potential candidates – our demographics and size, why people attend and stay, ministries, involvement, what we’d like in a new Rector and where we see the church going in the future. The Parish Profile can also be used to post on our website for potential newcomers. A draft assessment will be completed in the next week or two and then sent to the Vestry for review.
We are working on a draft plan and have target dates but need to meet with the Finance Committee to sync our plans as they are creating a current and future church budget with a candidate salary and benefits package budget that will need to be incorporated into our plan.
We’re making great progress!
